The Royal Snow Monopoly in the Puebla-Tlaxcala region, 1774-1820

This work shows the legal and economic mechanisms that were needed to
acquire a real monopoly, such as the imposed on snow, which surrounded the realization of said activity, due to the fact that the playful spaces and the festivities, essentially religious, played an important role to activate the sale of snow and ice cream. On the other hand, the clandestine trade that took place in some areas of Tlaxcala will be observed and a comparison will be made of the offers for the monopoly mentioned between Puebla, Tlaxcala will be made and Mexico City.
