Morelos Theater: symbol of progress, civilization and modernity of the city of Aguascalientes in the nineteenth century

This work gives a glimpse into the history of the Morelos Theater, ranging
from the background of its construction in the first decades of the nineteenth century, to the remodeling and rescue of the building in the second half of the twentieth century. In order to inquire into the interest of the nineteenth-century aguascalentense elite to educate and reform society through theater and other civilized amusements. As well as, explore the various artistic, academic and political ceremonies that hosted this coliseum, among them delve into two little-discussed events of the Sovereign Revolutionary Convention: the flag incident and the stormy film session.
