At the beginning of August 1833, the arrival of cholera morbus in Nuevo Leon was reported in the Official State Newspaper. In the August and September issues of the same year, information on the actions taken against this disease predominated: preventive measures implemented by the interim governor Manuel María de Llano, reports on the causes and symptoms it provoked, as well as the methods and resources used for treatment. For the research, the national context and the arrival of Asian cholera in other states of the country were taken into account. The data collected were complemented with bibliographic sources to learn about public health conditions
