The current article has the intention to expose the influence of socialism during the foundation and emancipation of the working class in Colombia, during the first three decades of the 20th century, by understanding socialism as a political detonator that led the actions of these working class people. That is why we will keep in mind different elements such as: the industrialization in the colombian territory, how the working class was created, the establishment of the socialist ideas within the country, and last how those ideas merged within the working class and the first labor unions, which will allow them to build a socialist culture and identity
