From the networks to the streets: social media and its effect in the case of the Arab Spring

The arab world found in 2010 a different way of expresssing the discontent that the population had meintained for decades. Repression, censure, famine, abuse of power and the privileges of the state are just some of the ills with which the many habitants of this region had to live daily; however, it was a matter of time bomb went off. The tunician people, first, and later a wave of countries took advantage of two events that, combined, led to a conflict that would shake the Arab world: the inmolation of Mohamed Bouazizi and the convening power of social media.
