Abstract

The narcocorrido is a musical phenomenon in Mexico, which highlights the lifestyle of drug traffickers, their adventures and exploits, conflicts between different cartels, among other aspects. This research will analyze the historical context, the factors that led to the rise of drug trafficking in the country, as well as how Buchon emerged in the state of Sinaloa. It will also question why it is difficult to determine the origins of drug trafficking and the buchon in northern Mexico.
