Abstract

The cave paintings are the first manifestations that man makes of his passage through the Earth. In them different images appear, some are symbolic-geometric, human figures or representations of the fauna of the place. Aguascalientes has this kind of paintings, which is a sample of the settlement of societies in the State. One of the most important places is El Ocote, an archaeological site where paintings and remains of the ceremonial and residential settlement have been found, as well as diverse objects. This work shows an analysis of the cave paintings in this place, which is not the only one throughout the State.
