There is a need for more studies devoted to the shaping of the short story in Colombia, which arrived in the late nineteenth century and consolidated in the twentieth century. This paper aims to contribute to such research through the analysis of three magazines: Saturday, Cyrano and Lectura Brief, which are inserted in what is considered the "Antioquian literature". For this purpose, Itamar Even-Zohar's literary theory of polysystems is used. The historical context in which the publications appear is shown, which were intended to build a regional literature, as well as the content and history of each one, and the list of authors.
