Abstract

This work takes a journey through the history captured in the photographs of the Porfirian era that are contained in the selection "A framing of the elite in Aguascalientes at the end of the century". Through this journey, the reader can enter into the society of the belle époque in hydrocálidas regions, using as a medium the intertwining of the photographs, the way in which the photographs of the Jesús F. Contreras collection are related to those of José F. Elizondo (both stored at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes), thus allowing to appreciate the splendor and importance of the culture of the image.
