Malgré son bras, malgré tout

Abstract

In this study the reader can enter into a vast and detailed description of the most important and well-known work of the hydrocalido sculptor Jesús F. Contreras: the Malgré tout, as well as the impact and recognition that this work obtained around the country and the world. Likewise, the well-known myth that Contreras was able to sculpt it with only his left arm (due to the inevitable amputation of his right arm because of cancer) is taken up again, and this is related to the heroism and romanticism with which the figure of the artist was enveloped thanks to the emergence of the legend.
