The objective of this paper is to analyze the historical, artistic and cultural background of the so-called "angelitos" photography, in order to understand the reason for its symbolism, its cultural complexity, as well as to analyze the composition of some photographs obtained from the Historical Archive of the State of Aguascalientes (AHEA), as well as from the National System of Photographic Libraries (SINAFO) of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), with which a cataloging for this type of photography will be proposed. At the same time, the text exposes the concept of death and the way in which human beings have sought to represent it.
