Abstract

This essay will develop the importance of the historical novel as such; the scope of the revolutionary novel that emerges at the beginning of the 20th century in Mexico from the social fracture it went through at that time; its value as a means for spreading history, the context itself and the ideas that prevailed at that time, taking as a model the contribution of the work of Los de abajo by Mariano Azuela.
