During the revolutionary conflict, quite a few families of any social class were forced to emigrate, either by the circumstances of the war or by economic issues. The specific case of one of them is that of the Alcalá Muñoz, from San Miguel el Alto, which is studied within the temporality of 1910-1920. This particular analysis is made with the objective of knowing how they lived and faced the revolutionary movement, given that it exploded at the same time they decided to emigrate to the United States in search of better opportunities. As a result of this work, it is possible to question and reflect on whether other families went through the same thing, that is, whether the phenomenon was somehow replicated around the village. The essay consists, therefore, of a genealogical and historical contextualization of the Alcalá family, accompanied by a geographical one that links the descriptions of the regions involved.
