It offers a broad view of the Oaxacan state during the Porfirian governorship and the subsequent passage of the revolutionary fractions within it, how this affected the entity, with the intention of introducing the Mixteca Brigade, a set of regiments made up of volunteers, who sought the defense of their lands, families and material goods. We are given its characteristics, problems and other features. Later, the Brigade will be in charge of protecting the state government by moving to the city of Tlaxiaco in search of protection from the revolutionaries.
