In this research, reference is made to the conquest of the Philippines in the 16th century, which was a key event in obtaining various objects in great demand in Europe, which were difficult to obtain. The exploitation of this territory is a clear example of the globalization of trade, the economic growth of Western societies, imperialism, the consolidation of the bourgeoisie and the European nation states.
On the other hand, the confrontations between various countries over the territory of the Philippines are described. Finally, the importance of East-West trade in the exchange and trade of silk, porcelain, handicrafts, spices and silver is mentioned.
