Abstract

Based on the "Padrón de españoles, castizos y mestizos of 1792", this work exposes the situation and living conditions of the artisan sector within the context of the town of Aguascalientes at the end of the 18th century, delving into the description of its most important characteristics, in its production and in the relations and differences of this social group with those considered elite. Similarly, a distinction is made between the same craftsmen who made up the sector, taking into account the heterogeneity of their various trades and the different established statuses.
