Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format and contains between 4,000 and 6,000 words, excluding the Abstract and References.
  • The manuscript is in Times New Roman font, with 1.5 spacing and a 12-point font size.
  • All illustrations, figures, and tables are numbered consecutively and have titles and captions accordingly.
  • The author has permission to publish all figures and tables and they are placed in the appropriate places in the text, rather than at the end.
  • The article has a title in English, a list of authors with institutional affiliation, and an e-mail. The abstract and keywords are in English.
  • Background, materials and methods, results, discussion, and references are identifiable in the manuscript.
  • The references correspond to APA's 7th edition citation style.
  • The submission has not been previously published or submitted for consideration by any other journal (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments section to the Editor).
  • The e-mail address, institution of affiliation and a biographical sketch of the author of no more than 100 words are clearly identified in the document.

Author Guidelines

All articles submitted should be original work and must not be under consideration by other publications. If accepted, authors give exclusivity to Artificio to publish, reproduce, edit, communicate, and transmit publicly by any means their work strictly for scientific and non-commercial purposes.

Original articles

Manuscripts with partial or total results of multidisciplinary research related to the Anthropic Environments Sciences, understood as the relationships that man establishes with his environment, from perspectives such as design, urban planning, architecture, civil engineering, and others, may be submitted. Artificio suggests the authors review the three thematic lines described below, identified so far as the Anthropic Spheres' action fields. However, the lines presented here are not limiting, and authors can still submit their work for publication.

Submitting your work

Papers should be submitted through the journal's system. They should be written in Spanish or English, presented in Times New Roman font at 12 points, with 1.5 line spacing and 2.5 cm margins at the sides and ends, and written in a single column. The length of the text should be between 4,000 and 6,000 words, not counting References and Abstract.
The original work should be in the following order:


Title. Title in English.


Author. List of authors with their full names and surnames in the order in which they should appear in the publication, beginning with the paternal surname, and first name, without abbreviations.

ORCID. If you do not have yet this ID you can get it at orcid.org

Institutional affiliation. Each author's name should be followed by the institutional affiliation. Graduate students may declare as their affiliation the institution where they are doing or have done their graduate studies.


E-mail address. Include the e-mail address of each author. Indicate which of the authors will be the contact for correspondence by marking his/her name with an asterisk.


Abstract. In English, in a maximum of 200 words, including the objective of the research, its current status, materials, methods, and main findings.


Keywords. In English, 3 to 5 keywords.
The introduction. includes the objective of the work and the background of the study. Adequately present the concepts and theory necessary to understand the research perspective.


Materials and methods. Clearly describe the process carried out in the research, the parameters for the selection of materials and participants, as well as the methods, equipment, and procedures in detail.


Results. the results of the research, partial or total, are presented, emphasizing important findings and contributions to the field of knowledge.
Discussion. Emphasize the most relevant aspects of the study, new questions that arise from the findings, and possible lines to explore in future research.
References. Authors should use the APA 7th Edition format.

Tables, charts, and figures
The material that will appear in the form of tables, charts, and figures should be inserted in the text of the article. They should be ordered using Arabic numerals according to the sequence of appearance. They should have a brief and concise title and captions.

Images should also be submitted separately with a 300 dpi resolution.

Fields of research

Reviews

Critical reviews of publications in English or Spanish, corresponding to the last three years, with a minimum length of 600 words and a maximum of 2,000 words.
