Visual Factory, book reviewAbstract
Book review for “Graphic Design and the Visual Factory: The Power of Visual Communication in Industry” by Salvador Valdovinos. A factory is a space where a good or service is produced, generally by transforming raw materials into finished products; that is, transformation is present. Therefore, the term “visual factory” leads us to consider the transformation of ideas while emphasizing the need to place critical information exactly where it is needed. It is a manufacturing term that refers to the use of visual elements to convey information and data in a factory—that is, it describes how data and information are communicated within a manufacturing environment.
