This article applies Christian Norberg-Schulz’s Theory of Existential Space as an analytical tool to interpret the spatial organization of Casa La Peña, located in Valle de Bravo, State of Mexico. From a qualitative and diagrammatic perspective, the study employs the topological categories of place, path, and region to examine the architectural configuration fostered by the dwelling. Based on a documentary and comparative investigation using architectural plans and photographs, the diagramming of these existential dimensions was carried out. This inquiry made it possible to identify patterns of symmetry, directionality, openness, and centrality. The findings reveal a correlation between the physical and affective dimensions of inhabiting, in line with the principles of the Existential Theory. It is concluded that this type of analysis can enrich both architectural criticism and the design process by providing tools centered on human experience; however, it is acknowledged that the method is limited but useful as conmplementary empathic tool.
