Introduction: The quality of care provided by nursing staff directly influences the satisfaction of hospitalized older adults. Bioethics plays a fundamental role in nursing practice, as it promotes respect for human dignity and supports the delivery of quality care. Therefore, it is not possible to speak of adequate care without considering respect for the individual during the caregiving process. Objective: To determine the level of satisfaction of hospitalized older adults and its relationship with the application of bioethical principles by nursing professionals in a highly specialized hospital. Methodology: A quantitative, non-experimental, prospective, cross-sectional, and correlational study was conducted. The sample consisted of 106 older adult patients selected through convenience sampling, who were surveyed using a questionnaire. Results: A total of 99.1% of older adults reported being satisfied with the care provided by nursing professionals. No relationship was found between the level of satisfaction and the application of bioethical principles. Discussion: These results differ from those reported by Bazán (2018), who found that 25.8% of patients were dissatisfied and reported a deficient practice in the application of bioethical principles. Conclusions: Older adults reported high satisfaction with the care received and with the practice of bioethical principles; however, no statistically significant relationship was identified between both variables.
