Abstract

When a designer can read nature patterns means that he/she can reconfigure his own epistemology about design because he/she is more willing to adopt an intuitive focus to give meaning to his/her designs, which will go further than mear aesthetics. Biomimesis, today, is considered as a discipline that pretends to educate and transform the behavior of society towards more sustainable actions. The natural history of design expresses the creative and interdisciplinary potential to understand nature’s own design.
