Resumen

El entorno construido y su impacto en el bienestar y salud humanos son analizados en este artículo. Se busca identificar los parámetros del entorno que influyen en el bienestar, cómo se miden y su relación con la salud, para ello se realiza una revisión literaria en la base de datos WOS entre 2008 y 2018. En los parámetros del entorno se muestra una escasa relación entre los estudios aplicados en los materiales y el ser humano, y con poca presencia de la biofilia y la forma. Respecto al ser humano, se encuentra una mayor cantidad de estudios psicológicos en comparación con estudios biológicos.
Además, se presentan seis investigaciones empíricas realizadas entre 2018 y 2022. Estos casos tratan de relacionar los efectos psicológicos y biológicos del entorno construido para poder relacionar las mediciones reportadas por los individuos con las mediciones fisiológicas.
El artículo concluye que esta línea de investigación es importante para fortalecer tanto la generación de datos como el diseño basado en evidencia en el entorno construido. Se resalta la necesidad de abordar de manera más completa y holística la relación entre el ser humano y su entorno construido para mejorar el bienestar y la salud de las personas.
