Abstract

This article analyzes the phenomenon of "voting platformization" in Latin America as a structural transformation of the public sphere. Through a qualitative and comparative study of recent electoral processes in Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, it investigates how algorithmic logic and the infrastructures of platforms such as TikTok, X, and WhatsApp reshape political communication. Using the theoretical framework of the Platform Society (Van Dijck, Poell, and de Waal), the implications of datafication, commodification, and selection on democratic integrity are examined. The study defines specific comparative variables to provide methodological rigor to the analysis of micro-segmentation tactics and computational propaganda. It concludes that platformization erodes rational deliberation and demands regulatory frameworks based on transparency and digital rights to protect electorate autonomy.
