Abstract

To know where the evil comes from and why there is evil has been the thousand-year-old and desperate question that the human being has not stopped doing throughout his history. If God is the first cause of everything that is, then it would also be the cause of evil. This argument raises several questions: How is it that a God who is essentially good can be the cause of evil? If evil comes from God, then God isn’t the first cause of everything? Therefore, in this essay there is a broad review of various authors who discuss these and other questions about the problem of evil from the aspects necessary to understand it.
