An attempt has been made to conceptualize it from its object of study and the theme of research: man, man in society, whether it is only a science or also encompasses the spiritual realm, even if natural history must be taken into account. In the present work we start from the perspective of several researchers such as Lucien Febure, Jaques Le Goff, Johan Huizinga, among others. The article is divided into two parts: on the one hand, the various definitions that have been given, and on the other, the intervention of women and the changes that have been generated from this. Definir la palabra historia es un tema de discusión inconcluso, se ha intentado conceptualizar desde su objeto de estudio y la temática de las investigaciones: el hombre, el hombre en la sociedad, si es sólo una ciencia o también abarca el ámbito espiritual, incluso si debe tomarse en cuenta la historia natural. En el presente trabajo se parte de la perspectiva de varios investigadores como Lucien Febure, Jaques Le Goff, Johan Huizinga, entre otros. This article approaches history from four meanings: history as facts, as a memory generated by a society, as a kind of religion, and from the academy, at this point, the role of the historian becomes important, is he a scientist or an artist?, and the relativity that exists in this discipline is addressed. Es difícil definir qué es la historia, ya que su objeto de estudio es subjetivo: se habla de un pasado al que se accede a través de la memoria colectiva, en donde se hace una interpretación del hecho histórico, pero ésta es inexacta. The music. A brief remembrance La música. Una breve remembranza Villanueva Ramos, Juan Ramón music Hélade Anáhuac Valley rites música Hélade Valle de Anáhuac ritos Music attracts man, helps him escape from his routine and contributes to the formation of an identity. It goes hand in hand with humanity, as the first instrument found shows. In this work, music is analyzed in the Hélade (Greece) and in the Anáhuac Valley (Mexico). From the first, Homeric hymns are taken up again and from the second, the mystic-cosmogonic conception of flowers and songs. Although these are different civilizations and spaces, they have in common that the oral tradition and its rites of invocation and worship are based on poetry, music, song and dance. La música atrae al hombre, lo ayuda a escapar de su rutina y contribuye en la formación de una identidad. Va de la mano con la humanidad, como muestra el primer instrumento encontrado. En este trabajo se analiza la música en la Hélade (Grecia) y en el Valle de Anáhuac (México). De la primera se retoman los himnos homéricos y del segundo la concepción místico-cosmogónica de las flores y los cantos. Si bien se trata de diferentes civilizaciones y espacios, tienen en común que la tradición oral y sus ritos de invocación y adoración se basan en la poesía, la música, el canto y la danza. Un testimonio plasmado en piedra Palacios Díaz, Mario Arturo rock paintings Aguascalientes The Ocote pinturas rupestres Aguascalientes El Ocote The cave paintings are the first manifestations that man makes of his passage through the Earth. In them different images appear, some are symbolic-geometric, human figures or representations of the fauna of the place. Aguascalientes has this kind of paintings, which is a sample of the settlement of societies in the State. One of the most important places is El Ocote, an archaeological site where paintings and remains of the ceremonial and residential settlement have been found, as well as diverse objects. This work shows an analysis of the cave paintings in this place, which is not the only one throughout the State. Las pinturas rupestres son las primeras manifestaciones que el hombre hace de su paso por la Tierra. En ellas aparecen diferentes imágenes, algunas son simbólico-geométricas, figuras humanas o representaciones de la fauna del lugar. Aguascalientes cuenta con este tipo de pinturas, lo cual es una muestra del asentamiento de las sociedades en el Estado. Uno de los lugares más importantes es El Ocote, sitio arqueológico en donde se han encontrado pinturas y restos del asentamiento ceremonial y habitacional, así como diversos objetos. En el presente trabajo se muestra un análisis de las pinturas rupestres de este lugar, que no es el único a lo largo del Estado. Colonial or historical archaeology. Archaeological rescue in the catacombs of the temple and former convent of San Diego, Aguascalientes Arqueología colonial o histórica. Rescate arqueológico en las catacumbas del templo y ex convento de San Diego, Aguascalientes Jiménez Meza, Jorge Luis San Diego church catacombs excavations templo de San Diego catacumbas excavaciones The San Diego temple was part of the restoration and recovery project initiated in 2004 by the Secretariat of Public Works of the State of Aguascalientes. The investigations were carried out in the domes, the shrine and the catacombs. This article provides a brief history of the building, and then discusses the archaeological intervention in the catacombs, which was initiated by Ana María Pelz. The aim of the excavations was: to learn about the funerary practices, the construction of the graves, the manufacture of the boxes, the offering materials, among others. The work includes a description of what was found. El templo de San Diego formó parte del proyecto de restauración y recuperación que inició en el 2004 la Secretaría de Obras Públicas del Estado de Aguascalientes. Las investigaciones se llevaron a cabo en las cúpulas, el camarín y las catacumbas. El presente artículo muestra una breve historia del edificio, y después se habla de la intervención arqueológica que se hizo en las catacumbas, la cual fue iniciada por Ana María Pelz. Las excavaciones tenían como objetivo: conocer las prácticas funerarias, la construcción de fosas, la manufactura de las cajas, los materiales de ofrenda, entre otros. En el trabajo se hace una descripción de lo encontrado. Christianity and chivalric ideals in France Cristianismo e ideales caballerescos en Francia López Delgado, María del Pilar medieval knight evolution influences chivalrous ideal caballero evolución influencias ideal caballeresco The figure of the knight took on great importance in the 11th and 12th centuries, as those who belonged to this group were already considered an elite body of warriors, had an education from childhood and there was an ideal of the knight. In this article, we will take a look at the history of these characters, going back to the 3rd and 4th centuries of the Roman Empire, where an order was founded that, after the Germanic influence, would lead to this group of warriors who rode on horseback and with swords, and which would later be largely made up of the French militia. La figura del caballero tomó gran importancia en los siglos XI y XII, pues los que pertenecían a este grupo ya eran considerados un cuerpo de élite de guerreros, tenían una formación desde pequeños y existía un ideal del caballero. En este artículo se hace un recorrido a lo largo de la historia de estos personajes, y para ello se remonta a los siglos III y IV del Imperio romano, en donde se funda una orden que, tras la influencia germana, desembocaría en ese grupo de guerreros que andaba a caballo y con espada, y que más adelante estaría conformado en gran parte por la milicia francesa. The beginning. Some proposals on the origin of religion El comienzo. The intention of this work is to give explanations about what underlies the rite celebrated. To this end, three different visions are shown: two are focused on the symbol, first from the perspective of José María Mardones, where this is that which cannot be conceptualized, and then from Carl Jung, the last speaks of the religious theme from the sensibility in accordance with what Severo Iglesias González proposes, who deals with two interior sensibilities (interoceptive and propieceptive) and one exterior. La religión forma parte del hombre, ya que tiene una necesidad espiritual que es importante dentro de la vida social y le da identidad a un grupo. La intención de este trabajo es dar explicaciones sobre lo que subyace al rito celebrado. Drunks and gendarmes in Aguascalientes during the Porfiriato Borrachos y gendarmes en Aguascalientes durante el Porfiriato Ruiz López, Ana Lilia alcohol Porfiriato criminal anthropology police alcohol Porfiriato antropología criminal policía This article describes a brief introduction to the consumption of alcoholic beverages in the Mexican territory in pre-Hispanic times, and then goes into more detail about the situation of alcohol consumption during the regime of Porfirio Díaz in Aguascalientes, which brought stability to Mexico in several aspects (mainly order and education). Throughout this period, actions were taken to control alcohol intake, since it was believed that this was directly related to crime, especially among lower class people. The police were in charge of controlling this and other aspects of the country's security, although they did infringe on several inappropriate behaviors. El presente artículo describe una breve introducción del consumo de bebidas alcohólicas en el territorio mexicano en la época prehispánica, para después ahondar en cómo se vivía la situación del consumo de alcohol durante el régimen de Porfirio Díaz en Aguascalientes, el cual trajo a México estabilidad en varios aspectos (orden y educación principalmente). A lo largo de esta época se realizaron acciones para controlar la ingesta de alcohol, ya que se creía que esto se encontraba directamente relacionado con los crímenes, especialmente en personas de clase baja. La policía era la encargada de controlar este y otros aspectos de la seguridad del país aunque infringían en varias conductas inapropiadas. Paso de Sotos, on the south-facing slope Paso de Sotos, en la ladera que mira al Sur Luévano, José Arturo Paso de Sotos history records residents independence Paso de Sotos historia registros pobladores independencia The research tells the history and evolution of the territory of Paso de Sotos, currently Villa Hidalgo (Altos Norte de Jalisco, Mexico). The economic activities of the area and the participation of its inhabitants in a chapter of the Independence are mentioned. Likewise, the history of the towns is mentioned, some of them pre-Hispanic, which covered the aforementioned territory. It should be noted that the church played an important role in the formation of these regions. By means of religious registration documents, such as marriage certificates and baptismal books, it was possible to obtain data on the population (mostly of Creole origin). La investigación relata la historia y la evolución del territorio de Paso de Sotos, actualmente Villa Hidalgo (Altos Norte de Jalisco, México). Se mencionan las actividades económicas de la zona y la participación de sus habitantes en un capítulo de la Independencia. Del mismo modo se alude a la historia de las poblaciones, algunas prehispánicas que abarcaban el ya mencionado territorio. Cabe destacar que la iglesia tuvo un importante papel en la formación de dichas regiones. Mediante documentos de registro religioso, como actas matrimoniales y libros bautismales fue posible obtener datos de la población (la mayoría de origen criollo). It then describes the efforts of the Revolutionary Front of Socialist Action (FRAS) in Aguascalientes, which was created to reduce the attacks and harassment suffered by the inhabitants of the Sierra de Guerrero at the hands of the Mexican army, as well as a means of support for the Party of the Poor.Likewise, the 23rd of September Communist League did not have operations in Aguascalientes, however it was one of the largest socialist groups in terms of the number of guerrillas. El artículo brinda un contexto general sobre la polarización del mundo y las acciones represoras del gobierno mexicano ante la simpatía que algunos habitantes mostraron por el socialismo (guerra sucia). Posteriormente se describen los esfuerzos del Frente Revolucionario de Acción Socialista (FRAS) en Aguascalientes, el cual fue creado para que disminuyeran los ataques y vejaciones que sufrían los pobladores de la sierra de Guerrero a manos del ejército mexicano, así como un medio de soporte hacia el Partido de los Pobres. Asimismo la Liga Comunista 23 de Septiembre no tuvo operaciones en Aguascalientes, sin embargo fue uno de los más grandes grupos socialistas respecto al número de guerrilleros. The Mixton War, the origin of the 16th century Chichimecan War La Guerra del Mixtón, el origen de la Guerra Chichimeca del siglo XVI Palacios Díaz, Mario Arturo massacres war chichimecas masacres guerra chichimecas After the domination of the Mexica Empire, Hernán Cortés wished to obtain more wealth from the northern territory, the "Gran Chichimeca", which encompassed several states of the Bajio and northern Mexico. For this reason Cortés ordered an expedition commanded by Nuño Beltrán de Guzmán, who colonized and carried out several massacres due to the warlike nature of the Chichimecan people. The first rebellion was the war of the Mixton during 1541 and 1542 due to the mistreatment of the indigenous people by the Spaniards, which represented the beginning of the fifty years of resistance to the Spanish yoke. The main scenes of the war were: Nochistlán, Teocaltiche, Jalpa and Juchipila. Después de la dominación del Imperio Mexica, Hernán Cortés deseaba obtener más riquezas del territorio del norte, la “Gran Chichimeca”, el cual abarcaba varios estados del Bajío y el norte de México. Por tal Cortés mandó realizar una expedición comandada por Nuño Beltrán de Guzmán, el cual colonizó y llevó a cabo varias masacres a causa de la belicosidad del pueblo chichimeco. La primera rebelión fue la guerra del Mixtón durante 1541 y 1542 por los malos tratos de los españoles hacia los indígenas, misma que representó el inicio de los cincuenta años de resistencia al yugo español. Los escenarios principales de la guerra fueron: Nochistlán, Teocaltiche, Jalpa y Juchipila. History: The Social Science Laboratory La historia: El laboratorio de las Ciencias Sociales Gutiérrez de Lara, Juan Alejandro changes historiography linguistics hermeneutics cambios historiografía lingüística hermenéutica This work points out the reflections that have taken place in contemporary historiography, especially with regard to the "historiographic turn" where a change in historical analyses can be observed with respect to the perspectives of linguistics and hermeneutics, as well as the relationship of history with other social sciences such as: sociology, philosophy and politics.History began to focus on social groups that had been marginalized from historical studies, in which culture and everyday experiences are investigated. On the other hand, linguistic theory recognized the importance of language in the constitution of various elements of societies. Este trabajo señala las reflexiones que se han dado en la historiografía contemporánea, sobre todo en cuanto al “giro historiográfico” donde se observa un cambio en los análisis históricos respecto a las perspectivas de la lingüística y la hermenéutica, así como la relación de la historia con otras Ciencias sociales como: la sociología, la filosofía y la política. La historia comenzó a enfocarse en grupos sociales que habían sido marginados de los estudios históricos, en los cuales se indaga en la cultura y las experiencias cotidianas. Some reflections on the graphic manifestations of the rock Algunas reflexiones sobre las manifestaciones gráficas rupestres Rodríguez Mota, Francisco research anthropology stages ethics investigación antropología etapas ética The present article describes the process to carry out an anthropological research on rock art manifestations. The first reflection includes three aspects for the beginning of the research: the choice of the object of study, the justification of the choice of the object and its geographical location.In the second reflection, it is stated that the research time will depend on the researcher and the technological resources available. This stage is based on conjectures and possible explanations based on analogies. The third reflection establishes that the researcher must have professional ethics in all aspects of the study he or she is conducting. En el presente artículo se describe el proceso para llevar a cabo una investigación antropológica sobre manifestaciones gráficas rupestres. La primera reflexión incluye tres aspectos para el inicio de la investigación: la elección del objeto de estudio, la justificación de la elección del mismo y su ubicación geográfica. En la segunda reflexión se asevera que los tiempos de investigación dependerán del investigador y los recursos tecnológicos con los que cuente, esta etapa se basa en conjeturas y posibles explicaciones basadas en analogías. La tercera reflexión establece que el investigador debe tener  ética profesional en todos los aspectos del estudio que realiza. One of the most important was Nietzsche, who in his philosophy describes the individual as solely responsible for finding meaning in his life by stripping himself of the socio-cultural conventions of his time. This ideology is the closest antecedent to capitalism with the division of the aristocrat and the slave. The development of other economic phenomena such as liberalism, consumerism and industrialization are also mentioned. On the other hand, the formation of the working class is also described. Finally, a new perspective on the concept of "god" in the aforementioned century is pointed out. La presente investigación menciona a varios autores que influenciaron al siglo XX. Uno de los más importantes fue Nietzsche, el cual en su filosofía describe al individuo como único responsable de encontrar el sentido de su vida al despojarse de las convenciones socio-culturales de su época. Dicha ideología es el antecedente más cercano al capitalismo con la división del aristócrata y el esclavo. También se menciona el desarrollo de otros fenómenos económicos como el liberalismo, el consumismo y la industrialización. Por otro lado también se describe la conformación de la clase obrera. Finalmente se puntualiza una nueva perspectiva sobre la concepción de “dios” en el siglo ya mencionado. It examines the history of the process and the administration carried out by the different governments in turn. The author makes a brief and concise review of the background of the revolution in Aguascalientes, the consequences and benefits that occurred in the real estate field with the outbreak of the movement. The work seeks to reflect on the uncertain situation in which the properties confiscated during the armed uprising were located, an outstanding aspect to understand the nuances of the revolutionary movement. El presente estudio analiza el problema de las propiedades rústicas intervenidas por los constitucionalistas, convencionalistas, villistas y carrancistas en Aguascalientes, entre 1914 y 1916. Examinando la trayectoria del proceso y la administración realizada por los diferentes gobiernos en turno. El autor hace un breve y conciso recorrido por los antecedentes de la revolución en Aguascalientes, las consecuencias y los beneficios que se dieron en el ámbito inmobiliario con el estallido del movimiento. El trabajo busca reflexionar con respecto a la situación incierta en la que se encontraban las propiedades confiscadas durante el levantamiento armado, aspecto sobresaliente para entender los matices del movimiento revolucionario. The yaqui rebellions in the Porfiriato Las rebeliones yaquis en el Porfiriato Moreno Romero, Humberto Porfiriato Yaquis Subversion Sonora Rebellion Porfiriato Yaquis Subversión Sonora Rebelión This study provides a critical historical overview of the situation of the Yaquis in the north of the country during the Porfirian period. The work exposes the historical and political background that led the Yaquis to rebel against the regime of Porfirio Diaz, as well as the repressions they suffered because they did not want to abide by the new model of progress that the government was promoting. The author reflects on the subhuman situation in which the Yaquis were subjected when they were sent to the henequen fields in the Yucatan. At the same time, she analyzes the image of characters like Cajeme and Tetabiate, characters who sought to vindicate their peoples. El presente estudio hace un recorrido histórico crítico con respecto a la situación de los Yaquis del norte del país durante el porfiriato. El trabajo expone los antecedentes históricos y políticos que llevaron a los Yaquis a rebelarse contra el régimen de Porfirio Diaz, así como las represiones que éstos sufrieron por no querer acatar el nuevo modelo de progreso que el gobierno promovía. La autora reflexiona acerca de la situación infrahumana en la que se vieron sometidos los Yaquis al ser mandados a los campos de henequén en Yucatán. A su vez, se analiza la imagen de personajes como Cajeme y Tetabiate, personajes que buscaron reivindicar sus pueblos. The agrarian ideals of the Caudillo del Sur: Emiliano Zapata and his revolutionary struggle Los ideales agrarios del Caudillo del Sur: Emiliano Zapata y su lucha revolucionaria Luévano Richarte, Cristopher Raúl Porfiriato Revolution Maderismo Peasants Indigenous Porfiriato Revolución Maderismo Campesinos Indígenas This paper contextualizes the life of revolutionary Emiliano Zapata, his family background and his immersion in the armed movement of 1910. At the same time, it exposes the conditions of the Mexican peasant and indigenous people, the position of the south with respect to the lumbering uprisings, and the ideals that the Zapatista movement sought by getting involved in the historical conflict. Finally, the study reflects on the image of the caudillo within the context of the Mexican Revolution, his ideals and mainly his work as a spokesman for those who had been reneged by the Porfirian regime, without leaving aside the historical and political processes. El presente trabajo contextualiza la vida del revolucionario Emiliano Zapata, sus antecedentes familiares y su inmersión en el movimiento armado de 1910. A su vez, se exponen las condiciones del campesino e indígena mexicano, la posición del sur con respecto a los levantamientos maderistas, y los ideales que el movimiento zapatista buscaba al involucrarse en el conflicto histórico. Finalmente, el estudio reflexiona sobre la imagen del caudillo dentro del contexto de la Revolución mexicana, sus ideales y principalmente su labor como portavoz de aquellos que habían sido renegados por el régimen porfirista, sin dejar de lado los procesos históricos y políticos. At the same time, the first data on Freemasonry in the American continent is presented in a concise manner. The author also reflects on the precepts of the lodge, its cultural and mystical precedents, which have changed over the decades. Finally, the work covers in a very general way the basic principles of the lodge, considering at all times the little detailed information about it. El presente estudio hace un recorrido por los orígenes de la logia masónica, desde los antecedentes culturales que rodean el misterio de la misma, hasta los datos que la historiografía ha dado a lo largo de los siglos. A su vez, se exponen de manera concisa los primeros datos que se tienen de la masonería en el continente americano. La autora también reflexiona sobre los preceptos de la logia, sus precedentes culturales y místicos, mismos que han cambiado a lo largo de las décadas. El caso de la historia cultural García Díaz, Jorge R. cultural history History Interdisciplinary historia cultural Historia Interdisciplinariedad The study analyses the relationship of history with the different social sciences, reflecting on the role of history and its multiple links with literature, sociology and anthropology, arguing for the possibility of understanding society and its history through cultural and social reflections. The author engages in a dialogue with them to expose the difficulties that can arise, as well as the factors that enrich cultural research from an interdisciplinary perspective. Finally, the author establishes four key points to encompass the importance of historical studies based on their relationship with culture and the social sciences. El estudio analiza la relación de la historia con las distintas ciencias sociales reflexionando con respecto al papel de la historia y sus múltiples lazos con la literatura, la sociología y la antropología, argumentando sobre la posibilidad de comprender la sociedad y su historia a través de reflexiones culturales y sociales. A si mismo, el autor entabla un dialogo con éstas para exponer las dificultades que se pueden presentar, así como los factores que enriquecen la investigación cultural desde la interdisciplinariedad. The author deals with key concepts to understand the thought of the Nahua culture, analyzing its operation within the game, for this purpose he refers to the myths and stories of the Mexican pre-Hispanic culture, he exposes himself to the particularities of the ball game. Likewise, it exposes the principles of the ball game and its symbolism in religious and mystical terms. The work seeks to establish a dialogue between the cultural aspects and the ritual expressions that were manifested in the game. El presente trabajo reflexiona sobre la simbología que trae consigo el juego de pelota. El autor aborda conceptos clave para comprender el pensamiento de la cultura nahua, analizando su funcionamiento dentro del juego, para ello se remite a los mitos y relatos propios de la cultura prehispánica mexicana, a sí mismo se expone las particularidades del juego de pelota. De igual manera, expone los principios del juego de pelota y su simbolismo en términos religiosos y místicos, el trabajo busca de manera significativa entablar un dialogo entre los aspectos culturales y las expresiones rituales que se manifestaban en el juego. The Fear of Death: A Rapprochement between the Spanish Conqueror (of Mexico Tenochtitlan) and the death El miedo a la muerte: Acercamiento entre el conquistador español (de México Tenochtitlan) y la muerte Sánchez Alderete, Rubén Death Conquer Spain Mexico Muerte Conquista España México The present work seeks to expose the image of the Spanish warrior and his confrontation with death. Subsequently, the work analyzes the position of the Spaniard in relation to the Mexica traditions, an important aspect since it meant a direct confrontation with death. The Mexica culture and its clear proximity to death was the most difficult battle for the Spaniards, since for the latter death was a symbol of honor and sacrifice. In this sense, the study seeks to reflect on death from the tradition and vision of both cultures. Likewise, the study marks the cultural journey of the medieval Spaniard until the conquistador of the 16th century, with respect to his conception of death. El presente trabajo busca exponer la imagen del guerrero español y su enfrentamiento con la muerte. Posteriormente, el trabajo analiza la postura del español frente a las tradiciones mexicas, aspecto importante puesto que significó un enfrentamiento directo con la muerte. La cultura mexica y su clara cercanía con la muerte fue la batalla más difícil de los españoles, ya que para estos últimos la muerte era símbolo de honor y sacrificio. En este sentido, el estudio busca reflexionar sobre la muerte desde la tradición y visión de ambas culturas, así mismo, el estudio marca el recorrido cultural del español medieval hasta el conquistador del siglo XVI, con respecto a su concepción de la muerte. Pre-independence images Imágenes preindependentistas Cardona Félix, Jorge Alejandro Independence Nationalism Identity Images Religion Independencia Nacionalismo Identidad Imágenes Religión On the occasion of the centenary of Mexico's independence, the work seeks to reflect on the origin of the main patriotic symbols. The study refers to the Spanish conquest, and the cultural and religious transformation that was promoted as part of a project, not only of evangelization, but also of inclusion in which pre-Hispanic and European symbols were taken up again, for the creation of collective archetypes that would give a collective identity to the New Spain. The analysis makes a journey from the Spanish conquest to the arrival of the so-called Mexican nationalism, where the aim was to enlarge the patriotic symbols. Con motivo del centenario de la independencia de México, el trabajo busca reflexionar con respecto al origen de los principales símbolos patrios. El estudio remite a la conquista española, y a la trasformación cultural y religiosa que se promovió como parte de un proyecto, no solo de evangelización, sino también de inclusión en el que se retomaron símbolos prehispánicos y europeos, para la creación de arquetipos colectivos que dieran una identidad colectiva a la Nueva España. El análisis hace un recorrido desde la conquista española hasta la llegada del llamado, nacionalismo mexicano, en donde se busco engrandecer los símbolos patrios. Brief introduction to baroque conceptism Breve introducción al conceptismo barroco Martínez Medina, Sergio Baroque Literature Poetry Culterism Conceptism Barroco Literatura Poesía Culteranismo Conceptismo Through a literary and historiographical perspective, this work presents in detail the concept of baroque conceptism through the poetry of Góngora, Quevedo and Gracián. The author concentrates particularly on the latter, giving way to an explanation by way of a sketch of what was considered to be conceptualism within the Baroque period, while at the same time exposing the current that was also popular in poetic creation, culteranism. Finally, what the study seeks is to dialogue through poetry the key concepts that emerged in this period, without leaving aside the historical and cultural aspects that influenced them. A través de una perspectiva literaria e historiográfica, el presente trabajo expone de manera detallada el concepto de conceptismo barroco a través de la poesía de Góngora, Quevedo y Gracián. El autor, se concentra de manera particular en este último dando paso a una explicación a manera de esbozo lo que dentro del barroco se consideraba conceptismo, a su vez también se expone la corriente que paralelamente también era popular en la creación poética, el culteranismo. Finalmente, lo que busca el estudio es dialogar a través de la poesía los conceptos clave que surgieron en este período, sin dejar de lado los aspectos históricos y culturales que los influenciaron. In search of a mexican identity and the historical novel En la búsqueda de una identidad mexicana y la novela histórica López Cerda, Doraelia Literature Mexico Identity Nationalism Literatura México Identidad Nacionalismo This paper analyses the work of Ignacio Manuel Altamirano from its historical and cultural context. The study addresses the most representative themes of the author's work in order to establish a dialogue between them and the socio-political situation of the country. Firstly, the author refers to the importance of the nascent nationalism of the late nineteenth century, which gave way to a new way of making literature and exposing the situation of the most vulnerable groups. The writers of this period focused on the transformation of the country from literature, so the themes of their works began to focus on social issues. El presente trabajo analiza la obra de Ignacio Manuel Altamirano a partir de su contexto histórico y cultural. El estudio aborda las temáticas más representativas de la obra del autor para entablar un diálogo entre éstas y la situación sociopolítica del país. Primeramente, la autora remite a la importancia del nacionalismo naciente de finales del siglo XIX, el cual dio pasó a una nueva forma de hacer literatura y de exponer la situación de los grupos más vulnerables. At the same time, it analyzes its symbolic and representative transformation, which took place from the 1930s to the 1970s. The author also argues about the importance of cinema as a social and aesthetic phenomenon that seeks to transmit the collective imagination to the big screen. In this sense, the purpose of this work is to reflect, not only on the image of the Indian in the cinema, but also on the symbolic and ideological background that hides behind the cinematographic representations of the same, since these are accompanied by false interpretations and erroneous stereotypes. El presente estudio expone y reflexiona la imagen del indio en el cine mexicano. A su vez, analiza su trasformación simbólica y representativa, la cual se dio desde la década de 1930 hasta 1970. El autor, también argumenta sobre la importancia del cine como fenómeno social y estético que busca trasmitir el imaginario colectivo a la pantalla grande. En este sentido, el propósito de este trabajo es reflexionar, no solo sobre la imagen del indio en el cine, sino también sobre el trasfondo simbólico e ideológico que se esconde tras las representaciones cinematográficas del mismo, ya que estas se ven acompañadas de falsas interpretaciones y erróneos estereotipos. Likewise, the study reflects on the importance that music has traditionally had within societies, even when they are in armed conflict, music functions as an escape in which the dualities of the human being are opposed and lived in an artistic way. In this sense, research abounds on the historical and cultural processes that marked the arrival and permanence of danzón in Mexico, its transformation and its functioning. El presente trabajo busca exponer el papel de la música dentro de la cultura mexicana, principalmente sobre el danzón y su inversión de la sociedad. Asimismo, el estudio reflexiona sobre la importancia que tradicionalmente ha tenido la música dentro de las sociedades, incluso cuando se encuentran en conflictos armados, la música funge como un escape en las que las dualidades del ser humano se contraponen y se viven de manera artística. It proposes serious reflection on its work as an essential link between the academic thought of the intellectual elites and the core and daily feeling of the people who today face the urgent need to strengthen their historical and social values. In this sense, the work analyzes from the historical and political processes, the functioning of the religious order in both continents, likewise the author exposes the origin and the objectives of the same one, important aspect since these changed through the time.    Thus, the text seeks to distinguish between the archaic customs that characterized the medieval Inquisition, its resurgence in the Spanish and the first years of the Mexican Inquisition, and its subsequent softening in the Viceroyalty. El presente trabajo busca mostrar las diferencias y particularidades de la Inquisición en el continente americano y en la Península Ibérica. En este sentido, el trabajo analiza a partir de los procesos históricos y políticos, el funcionamiento de la orden religiosa en ambos continentes, asimismo el autor expone el origen y los objetivos de la misma, aspecto importante puesto que estos cambiaron a través del tiempo.  De modo que el texto busca distinguir entre las arcaicas costumbres que caracterizaron a la inquisición medieval, su resurgimiento en la española y los primeros años de la mexicana, y su posterior ablandamiento en el virreinato. Intrahistory in the work of Carlos Fuentes Intrahistoria en la obra de Carlos Fuentes Pomar Ojeda, Marcela history literature intrahistory intra-literature definition Carlos Fuentes Miguel de Unamuno historia literatura intrahistoria intraliteratura definición Carlos Fuentes Miguel de Unamuno The definition of history can lend itself to multiple interpretations, ranging from knowledge of the past as a luxury item and the possession of a privileged memory to store facts, dates or characters, to the understanding of it as an official story that serves the interests of power. The meaning of such a word has become more complex, acquiring a scientific character whose social function of explanation is not discussed. Thus, the essay seeks to include in this idea the term "intrahistory", whose creation belongs to the 19th century spanish philosopher Miguel de Unamuno (1864-1936), in conjunction with the work of Carlos Fuentes, in order to demonstrate the unbreakable relationship between the historical discipline and literature. La definición de Historia puede prestarse a múltiples interpretaciones que van desde el conocimiento del pasado como un artículo de lujo y la posesión de una memoria privilegiada para almacenar hechos, fechas o personajes, hasta el entendimiento de ella como un relato oficial que sirve a los intereses del poder. El significado de tal palabra se ha complejizado, adquiriendo un carácter científico cuya función social de explicación no se discute. Así, el ensayo pretende incluir en esa idea el término de "intrahistoria", cuya creación pertenece al filósofo decimonónico español Miguel de Unamuno (1864-1936), en unión con la obra de Carlos Fuentes, a fin de demostrar la relación irrompible entre la disciplina histórica y la literatura. At the national level, the fulfillment of the demands of the old Revolution of 1910 became totally evident as a failure in the face of the permanence of violence, corruption, the lack of democracy and the dictatorship of a single party, created as its heir, over many years. In this sense, the essay goes into the Mexican panorama in this time of change and repression, which is reconstructed through the consultation of the capital's press and its perception of the events that preceded the fateful October 2nd, with print media such as El Universal and Excélsior being central, particularly in the months of July to December of that year. Las protestas de jóvenes estudiantes durante 1968 marcaron en México y en el mundo un antes y un después. A nivel nacional, el cumplimiento de las demandas de la vieja Revolución de 1910 quedó totalmente evidenciado comoun fracaso ante la permanencia de la violencia, la corrupción, las faltas a la democracia y la dictadura de un solo partido, creado como heredero de ella, a lo largo de muchos años. En este sentido, el ensayo se adentra en el panorama mexicano en esta época de cambios y represión, el cual es reconstruido a través de la consulta de la prensa capitalina y su percepción de los acontecimientos que antecedieron al fatídico 02 de octubre, siendo centrales los medios impresos como El Universal y Excélsior, particularmente en los meses de julio a diciembre de aquel año. Iturbide: From divinity to opprobrium Iturbide: De la divinidad al oprobio Moreno Romero, Juan Humberto Agustín de Iturbide Mexican independence Historiography Opprobrium Official history Agustín de Iturbide Independencia de México Historiografía Oprobio Historia oficial The figure of Agustín de Iturbide and his rescue by Mexican historiography are always a source of controversy. Despite his important role in obtaining the emancipation from Spain in 1821, he is perceived by historians and his works as a villain who does not deserve to be remembered or rethought, thus increasing the prejudices that surround the character with qualifiers that label him as ambitious, corrupt and calculating. The different stories that have taken place since the birth of Mexico until the present day take up the character in different ways, predominantly negative ones, however, the fact that he was the first emperor in our history was also seen as a divinity. It is precisely the transition from it to collective vilification that concerns this work, which seeks only to reflect on it and the discourses that manifest it. La figura de Agustín de Iturbide y su rescate por la historiografía mexicana son siempre causantes de polémica. Él, pese a su importante papel en la obtención de la emancipación de España en 1821, es percibido por los historiadores y sus obras como un villano que no merece ser recordado o repensado, aumentando así los prejuicios que rodean al personaje con calificativos que lo tachan de ambicioso, corrupto y calculador. Las distintas historias que se han producido desde el nacimiento de México hasta la actualidad lo retoman de diversas maneras, predominando entre ellas las negativas, sin embargo, el que fuera el primer emperador nuestra historia, también fue visto como divinidad. Es precisamente la transición de ella al vilipendio colectivo lo que atañe a este trabajo, que no busca sino reflexionar sobre ella y los discursos que la manifiestan. Acerca del legado de Marc Bloch y Lucien Febvre González Esparza, Víctor Manuel History Lucien Febvre Marc Bloch Historiography Local history National history Global contexts Historia Lucien Febvre Marc Bloch Historiografía Historia local Historia nacional Contextos globales The historiography left as a legacy by the famous historians of the Annales, Marc Bloch and Lucien Febvre, is remembered by all generations of professionals of the past with a touch of solemnity, but at least in Mexico, it does not go beyond that to be really applied or surpassed by the young people who join the profession every year. This is largely due to the intensified fragmentation caused by the regionalization of history promoted by Luiz González, whose intention to defeat centralism and national history has meant that new historiographic works do not think beyond local contexts. This work concentrates on the realization of meditations on the subject, which are more pertinent than ever given that history, like any discipline, grows from constant criticism of its own academic production.  La historiografía que dejaron como legado los famosos historiadores de los Annales, Marc Bloch y Lucien Febvre, es recordada por todos las generaciones de profesionales del pasado con un toque de solemnidad, pero al menos en México, no pasa de ello para ser realmente aplicada o superada por los jóvenes que se incorporan a la profesión cada año. Esto se debe en gran medida a la fragmentación intensificada que causó la regionalización de la historia promovida por Luiz González, cuya intención de vencer al centralismo y a la historia nacional ha propiciado que en las nuevas obras historiográficas no se piense más allá de los contextos locales. His conceptions about metaphysical issues, which were extremely transcendental in his time, with remains of medieval thought, such as heaven, hell and purgatory, have had an undeniable impact on the areas of social life in centuries after his, including ours, where we can observe his presence in music, films and even video games. It's for that reason that thinking about the artistic influence of this great work is not an out of place task, especially if one looks for its mark in the graphic works of painting and engraving, taking into account the context of the author and his biography in order to situate his production in his time. Desde su publicación, La Divina Comedia del afamado poeta florentino Dante Alighieri causó revoluciones en la cultura y en el arte. Sus concepciones acerca de cuestiones metafísicas y sumamente trascendentes en su época, con restos del pensamiento medieval, como el cielo, el infierno y el purgatorio han tenido un impacto indiscutible en los ámbitos de la vida social de siglos posteriores al suyo, incluyendo al nuestro, donde podemos observar su presencia en música, películas y hasta videojuegos. Es por tal razón que pensar en la influencia artística de esta magna obra no es una tarea fuera de lugar, especialmente si se busca su huella en las obras gráficas de la pintura y el grabado, tomando en cuenta el contexto del autor y su biografía para situar su producción en su tiempo. Given its relevance and geographical extension to our territory, this work portrays the early years of cinema in Mexico, as well as the impact it had on the society of its time. We will talk about its important characters, political and social functions. We will also study the cinema in Aguascalientes, the way it was received by the population and the role it played in the formative stage of the national film industry. Finally, we will close with Mexico's contributions to filmmaking. El invento del cinematógrafo cambió al mundo por la maravillosidad de sus imágenes, en un momento en el que el hombre había alcanzado su punto de mayor desarrollo y auge y se sentía invencible; en aquellos años de la Belle Époque de principios del siglo pasado. Dada su relevancia y extensión geográfica hasta nuestro territorio, este trabajo retrata los primeros años del cine en México, así como el impacto que ocasionó en la sociedad de su tiempo. Trajectory of David Alfaro Siqueiros Trayectoria de David Alfaro Siqueiros Rodríguez López, María Guadalupe David Alfaro Siqueiros Trajectory Mexican muralism David Alfaro Siqueiros trayectoria muralismo mexicano Siqueiros, considered an art theorist who is always in search of new techniques and new forms, is one of the most important figures of Mexican art of the 20th century. It is therefore necessary to highlight some aspects of his existence and, above all, of his work, which continues to be valid today. Thus, the purpose of this essay is to make known the life and artistic production of David Alfaro Siqueiros, who was a great muralist in the century that preceded us. This undertaking is carried out with five sections and an appendix dedicated to the painter, within which the reader can discover a cultural figure as interesting as he is controversial on a national level. Siqueiros, considerado como un teórico del arte que va siempre en busca de nuevas técnicas y nuevas formas, es una de las figuras más importantes del arte mexicano del siglo XX, por lo que es necesario resaltar algunos aspectos de su existencia y, sobre todo, de su obra, que continúa vigente en nuestros días. Así, el propósito de este ensayo es dar a conocer la vida y producción artística de David Alfaro Siqueiros, quien fuera un gran muralista en el siglo que nos precede. Dicha empresa se lleva a cabo con cinco apartados y un apéndice dedicados al pintor, dentro de los que el lector puede descubrir a una figura cultural tan interesante como polémica a nivel nacional. The case of the Aguascalientes sculptor Jesús F. Contreras isn't a exception, as shown by the photographs from his personal collection that were selected for this article, which were rescued from the Vault that bears his name within the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes and which has a whole collection available for consultation by researchers. This text proposes, therefore, to take the reader on a visual tour through the images that manifest the silence of the study in which Contreras materialized his figures in bronze or marble.  Para cualquier artista plástico, su estudio representa el espacio que ve nacer sus obras y que constituye su intimidad imaginativa, pero además de su carácter físico, éste también puede pensarse como el estado de la conciencia en el que ellos reflexionan y dan inicio a un proceso creativo con base en sus experiencias, sentimientos y ánimo; ese sitio mental y geográfico en que producen arte. El caso del escultor aguascalentense Jesús F. Contreras no es la excepción, como lo demuestran las fotografías de su colección personal que fueron seleccionadas para este artículo, las cuales fueron rescatadas de la Bóveda que lleva su nombre dentro de la Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes y que reúne todo un acervo disponible para la consulta de los investigadores. Roosevelt, in the first half of the 1930s. Our study begins with the creation of the Office of the Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs (OCIAA) - later called the Office of Inter-American Affairs (OIAA) - in August 1940. We will focus on the influence exerted by this body on the production and exhibition of films in Latin American countries, in addition to examining other aspects of the influence of American culture on those countries, such as radio, music, literature, and photography. The article has an in-depth look at the influence of the United States on Brazil, but we do not forget the other Latin American countries in this analysis. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la fuerza de la influencia cultural de los Estados Unidos en los países latinoamericanos enfocándonos principalmente en la política del buen vecino, creada por F.D. Roosevelt, en la primera mitad de la década de 1930. "Un gobernante entre dos épocas" Reyes Rodríguez, Andrés Rafael Arellano Valle State government Aguascalientes Post-Revolution Public administration Rafael Arellano Valle Gobierno estatal Aguascalientes Posrevolución Administración pública Rafael Arellano Valle, a man from the Porfiriato, was elected constitutional governor of the state of Aguascalientes in 1920, for a period of four years that passed at the beginning of the post-revolutionary era marked by the triumph of the Sonoran people, and which was not completely fulfilled by his successors in power. His figure, although it has been recently rescued, is still not valued from his administrative facet, so the essay proposes an approach to the character from the political management that kept in action until 1924. With this, a problem of knowledge arises that incites reflection on the ideological labels that are attributed to each historical actor, according to whether he is revolutionary or anti-revolutionary, and that prevent an objective analysis of his role played in a certain past context. Likewise, it also shows that beyond their personal opinions, the logistical challenge of administrative efficiency to promote state development prevailed in the government in power. Rafael Arellano Valle, hombre del Porfiriato, fue electo gobernador constitucional del estado de Aguascalientes en el año de 1920, para un periodo de cuatro años que transcurrió en el inicio de la época posrevolucionaria marcada por el triunfo de los sonorenses, y que no volvió a ser cumplido completamente por sus sucesores en el poder. Su figura, si bien ha sido recientemente rescatada, sigue sin ser valorada desde su faceta administrativa, por lo que el ensayo propone un acercamiento al personaje a partir de la gestión política que mantuvo en acción hasta 1924. Con ello, se plantea un problema de conocimiento que incita a la reflexión sobre las etiquetas ideológicas que se adjudican a cada actor histórico, de acuerdo a si es revolucionario o antirrevolucionario, y que impiden un análisis objetivo de su papel desempeñado en un determinado contexto pasado. Asimismo, también se demuestra que más allá de sus opiniones personales, en el gobierno encabezado primaba el reto logístico de la eficacia administrativa para impulsar el desarrollo estatal. Similarly, a distinction is made between the same craftsmen who made up the sector, taking into account the heterogeneity of their various trades and the different established statuses. Con base en el “Padrón de españoles, castizos y mestizos formado en el año de 1792”, este trabajo expone la situación y las condiciones de vida del sector artesano dentro del marco contextual de la villa de Aguascalientes a finales del siglo XVIII, ahondando en la descripción de sus características más importantes, en su producción y en las relaciones y las diferencias de este grupo social con aquellos otros considerados de élite. De igual manera, se hace distinción entre los mismos artesanos que componían el sector, atendiendo a la heterogeneidad de sus diversos oficios y a los diferentes estatus establecidos. Without leaving aside the political and social scenario that constituted Mexico at that time, the author inserts the photographic movement as a novel way of communicating and establishes distinctions between this "new photojournalism" and other visual methods such as documentary photography. El presente estudio explica la importancia de la imagen y la noticia visual dentro del periodismo y cómo se desarrolló el movimiento de fotoperiodismo acontecido en Unomásuno y en La Jornada a finales del siglo XX, tratando de responder cuestionamientos relacionados con las causas contextuales y con las situaciones que hicieron propicio el florecimiento de dicha corriente fotoperiodística. El trabajo aborda una descripción explicativa de un importante medio de comunicación: la prensa, la cual ha sido relegada a un papel inferior como fuente de información de la historiografía y, por lo mismo, es comúnmente dejada de lado o usada de manera muy limitada. Apoyándose en  la descripción cronológica de la prensa y su relación con la Historia, el autor propone una nueva manera de mirar la prensa y de aprovechar todo lo que tiene por ofrecer como parte de un discurso histórico; de igual manera presenta los prejuicios y dificultades que todavía pueden encontrarse al elaborar estudios sobre este medio de comunicación. The narrative analysis is carried out on the basis of the differentiation between philosophies of history presented by Arthur C. Danto in his work Analytical philosophy of history, with the aim of reaching a result that can determine whether history is a science after all. Utilizando el problema de la demarcación en filosofía de la ciencia, en el presente trabajo el autor pretende hacer un análisis de los enunciados narrativos para comprobar una posible relación entre éstos y el grado de la objetividad histórica, para de esta manera poder determinar su validez como ciencia. Geographical-historical perspective of Aztec development Perspectiva geográfico-histórica del desarrollo azteca Díaz de León, José Francisco geography history empire aztecs geografía historia imperio aztecas The article describes how the relationship between history and geography gives rise to historical geography, which consists of the study of man in the past and his interaction with nature. In this way, the origin of the Aztec culture is described, as well as the geographical territory in which its settlements and buildings were located. On the other hand the activities with which they subsisted are mentioned, a good example is the agriculture in chinampas. It also refers to the expansion of the empire to other territories and its maximum splendor, as well as its fall at the hands of the troops of Hernan Cortes in 1521. El artículo describe como gracias a la relación entre historia y geografía surge la geografía histórica, la cual consiste en el estudio del hombre en el pasado y su interacción con la naturaleza. De tal manera se describe el origen de la cultura azteca, así como el territorio geográfico en el cual se ubicaban sus asentamientos y edificaciones. Por otro lado se mencionan las actividades con las cuales subsistían, un buen ejemplo es la agricultura en chinampas. También se alude a la expansión del imperio hacia otros territorios y su máximo esplendor, así como su caída a manos de las tropas de Hernán Cortés en 1521. The exploitation of this territory is a clear example of the globalization of trade, the economic growth of Western societies, imperialism, the consolidation of the bourgeoisie and the European nation states. On the other hand, the confrontations between various countries over the territory of the Philippines are described. Finally, the importance of East-West trade in the exchange and trade of silk, porcelain, handicrafts, spices and silver is mentioned. En esta investigación se hace alusión a la conquista de Filipinas en el siglo XVI, lo cual fue un hecho clave para conseguir diversos objetos de gran demanda en Europa, los cuales eran difíciles de conseguir. La explotación de este territorio es un claro ejemplo de la globalización del comercio, el crecimiento económico de las sociedades occidentales, el imperialismo, la consolidación de la burguesía y de los estados nacionales europeos. Por otro lado se describen los enfrentamientos entre diversos países por el territorio de Filipinas. Finalmente se menciona la importancia del comercio entre Oriente y Occidente en el intercambio y comercio de seda, porcelana, artesanías, especias y plata. It discusses nationalism as a social construction in the context of the New-Hispanic political reconfiguration, as well as the analysis of the role played by a group of Jesuits in implementing an enlightened and revolutionary education in the Creoles of the 18th century. Thanks to this, the Creoles realized the importance of creating their identity and the need for transformation, which culminated in Independence. Some symbols that helped in the formation of identity were: the Virgin of Guadalupe, the admiration for pre-Hispanic cultures and natural resources. El presente artículo describe el proceso de establecimiento del nacionalismo en México en el siglo XVIII. Se habla del nacionalismo como construcción social en el contexto de la reconfiguración política novohispana, así como el análisis del papel que desempeñó un grupo de jesuitas con la implementación de una educación ilustrada y revolucionaria en los criollos del siglo XVIII. Gracias a esto, los criollos se percatan de la importancia de la creación de su identidad y la necesidad de transformación, lo cual culminó con la Independencia. Algunos símbolos que ayudaron a la formación de la identidad fueron: la virgen de Guadalupe, la admiración por las culturas prehispánicas y los recursos naturales. Una perspectiva de género Ramos de León, Maricela teacher training colleges Aguascalientes revolution patriarchy reforms normales Aguascalientes revolución patriarcado reformas This article describes educational projects of a political nature that reflected a patriarchal education, but which gradually underwent a transformation in which women began to take part. It mentions the history of the Normal de Aguascalientes and its context, which is of great importance, especially during the Mexican Revolution, when women reproduced cultural educational models that aimed to strengthen an androcentric, patriarchal discourse and the subordination of women. The educational reforms of 1920-1940 sought to bring education to the entire population and to link the new school to the government's social and economic reforms. El presente artículo describe los proyectos educativos de carácter político que reflejaban una educación patriarcal, pero que poco a poco tuvieron una transformación en la que comenzaron a incursionar las mujeres. Se menciona la historia de la Normal de Aguascalientes y su contexto, el cual es de gran importancia, sobre todo durante la Revolución mexicana, en la cual las mujeres reproducían modelos culturales educativos que tenían como objetivo el fortalecimiento de un discurso androcéntrico, patriarcal y de subordinación de las mujeres. Las reformas educativas de entre 1920 y 1940 pretendieron llevar la educación a toda la población y vincular la nueva escuela con las reformas sociales y económicas gubernamentales. Un acercamiento teórico Gutiérrez Díaz, Mario proletariat exploitation neoliberalism opposition proletariado explotación neoliberalismo oposición This research describes the emergence of the proletariat in Aguascalientes, which dates back to the Porfirian era and the early years of the revolution. This social group originated because of the subhuman and subordinate conditions applied by neoliberalism. In Aguascalientes, the working class was formed by peasants and artisans, who began to be exploited by the dominant class in terms of: workplaces, salaries, strip shops, working conditions, food, etc. Some time later, the working class ceased to be the servants of the capitalist class and became the opponents, and thus suffered state repression. Esta investigación describe el surgimiento del proletariado en Aguascalientes, el cual se remonta a la época del porfiriato y los primeros años de la revolución. Dicho grupo social se originó a causa de las condiciones infrahumanas y de subordinación aplicadas por el neoliberalismo. En Aguascalientes la clase trabajadora se formó con campesinos y artesanos, los cuales comenzaron a ser explotados por la clase dominante respecto a: lugares de trabajo, salarios, tiendas de raya, condiciones laborales, alimentación, etcétera. Tiempo después la clase obrera dejó de ser servidora de la clase capitalista para volverse opositora, con lo cual sufrió la represión del Estado. It also mentions that the problems must be faced quickly. The main conflicts are the following: the apathy of the students, the mediocrity of the professors, the absence of renewed knowledge and the erroneous hierarchy set by the university authorities. Some measures are set out with which the vices or errors exposed in this research could be vindicated, which above all express the importance of universities being responsible institutions, focused on preparing the knowledge necessary for students to perform satisfactorily in the area of work. El presente artículo describe los fundamentos, vicios y retos de la universidad mexicana. Del mismo modo se menciona que los problemas deben de afrontarse de manera rápida. Los principales conflictos son los siguientes: la apatía de los estudiantes, la mediocridad del profesorado, la ausencia de conocimiento renovado y la jerarquía errónea fija por las autoridades universitarias. Se exponen algunas medidas con las cuales se podrían reivindicar los vicios o errores expuestos en esta investigación, las cuales expresan sobre todo la importancia de que las universidades sean instituciones responsables, centradas en la preparación del conocimiento necesario para que los alumnos se desempeñen satisfactoriamente en el área laboral. The Eclipse of the Mexican State: Constant Problems and Growing Challenges El eclipse del Estado mexicano: Problemas constantes y desafíos crecientes Castro, Fabricio Ezequiel Mexico problems retraction State México problemas retracción Estado The article develops three of the biggest problems in Mexico since the early 1980s, which were the result of the application of ideas that support the need to retract the functions of the State in search of market effectiveness: insecurity, economic inequality and trade dependence on the United States. In addition to these problems, the country's major conflict is said to be a state limited to competition out of the control of power factors. The inability of the Mexican government to deal with the nation's conflicts is closely linked to the increase in crime and the limitation of progress. En el artículo se desarrollan tres de los más grandes problemas de México desde principios de los ochenta, los cuales fueron el resultado de la aplicación de ideas que sostienen la necesidad de retracción de las funciones del Estado en busca de la efectividad del mercado: la inseguridad, la desigualdad económica y la dependencia comercial con Estados Unidos. Además de estos problemas, se asevera que el conflicto mayor del país es un Estado limitado a la competencia fuera de control de factores de poder. La incapacidad del gobierno mexicano ante los conflictos de la nación se encuentra estrechamente ligada al aumento de los delitos y la limitación del progreso. From fantasy to reality: Palinide on the stairs De la fantasía a la realidad: Palinuro en la escalera Ramírez Morales, Ana Cristina Mexico students 1968 Comedy Palinide fantasy México estudiantes 1968 Comedia Palinuro fantasía This essay focuses on the 1968 student movement in which several students were massacred because of government repression. On the other hand, the character "Palinuro" of the Greeks is mentioned, who sacrifices himself for the survival of his comrades and Fernando del Paso with whom an analogy is made when young students had to be sacrificed for a "God of politics", so that the nation would be safe. It also refers to the Comedia del Arte in Mexico, which made people aware of what was happening in their environment and nation. Este ensayo se centra en el movimiento estudiantil de 1968 en el cual varios estudiantes fueron masacrados a causa de la represión del gobierno. Por otra parte se menciona al personaje “Palinuro” de los griegos, el cual se sacrifica por la supervivencia de sus compañeros y el de Fernando del Paso con el que se realiza una analogía cuando los jóvenes estudiantes que debían ser sacrificados por un “Dios de la política”, para que la nación se encontrara a salvo. Asimismo se hace alusión a la Comedia del Arte en México, la cual hacía que las personas tomaran conciencia de lo que ocurre en su entorno y nación. The mining union and its struggles El sindicato minero y sus luchas Pomar Jiménez, Julio miners abuses strikes union fight mineros abusos huelgas sindicato lucha This article highlights the history of the National Union of Miners, which was born in Pachuca, Hidalgo in 1934. Similarly, some antecedents of the Mining Union are mentioned, such as the first strike in Latin America in 1766 and the strike in Cananea (Sonora) in 1906, both caused mainly by the bad and dangerous conditions faced by workers in the mines, as well as the long working hours and low wages. Also mentioned are the abuses in the 21st century against the mining sector, the unjustified persecution of its leaders and the lack of justice they received during the two six-year presidential term of the PAN. El presente artículo destaca la historia del Sindicato Nacional de Mineros, el cual nace en Pachuca, Hidalgo en 1934. Del mismo modo se mencionan algunos antecedentes del Sindicato minero como la primera huelga de América Latina en 1766 y la huelga de Cananea (Sonora) en 1906, ambas causadas principalmente por las malas y peligrosas condiciones a las que se enfrentaban los trabajadores en las minas, así como las largas jornadas laborales y el bajo salario. También se mencionan los abusos en pleno siglo XXI hacia el sector minero, la persecución injustificada de sus líderes y la nula justicia que recibieron en los dos sexenios de la presidencia del PAN. Independencia y primeros años hasta 1992 Cardona Félix, Jorge Alejandro Argelia french colonization independence Argelia franceses colonización independencia The article describes the social configuration of Algeria based on Arab culture, Berberism and Islam as a religion. It also states that the invasion and colonisation of this country by the French dates back to 1830, which were motivated by economic and geographical interests. On the other hand, the independence of Algeria (between 1954 and 1962) is mentioned, which was carried out by means of guerrillas and direct attacks. Algerian sovereignty was consummated on 3 July 1962. Reference is also made to the difficult years after independence to reconfigure the nation. El artículo describe la configuración social de Argelia a partir de la cultura árabe, la berebere y el islam como religión. Asimismo se asevera que la invasión y colonización de este país a manos de los franceses se remonta al año de 1830, los cuales se encontraban motivados por intereses económicos y geográficos. Por otro lado es mencionada la independencia de Argelia (entre 1954 y 1962), la cual se realizó por medio de guerrillas y atentados directos. La soberanía argelina se consuma el 3 de julio de 1962. También se hace alusión a los difíciles años después de la independencia para reconfigurar la nación. The Universal Exhibitions: Mexico's participation through the sculptor Jesús F. Contreras in 1889 Las Exposiciones Universales: La participación de México a través del escultor Jesús F. Contreras aztecas This research focuses on the participation of the sculptor Jesús F. Contreras in the 1889 Universal Exhibition in Paris, who was in charge of carrying out everything that was exhibited in the pavilion presented by Mexico. The project that was presented was The Aztec Palace, proposed by Anza and Peñafiel, which included sculptures of Aztec gods and kings. It should be noted that the guidelines for the creation of the figures were established by Contreras, disregarding those proposed by Peñafiel. In addition, Contreras supported the sculptor José María Velasco as a delegate of the Mexican government in one of the congresses that took place during the exhibition. La presente investigación se centra en la participación del escultor Jesús F. Contreras en la Exposición Universal de París de 1889, el cual se encargó de realizar todo lo que se expuso en el pabellón presentado por México. El proyecto que se presentó fue El Palacio Azteca, propuesto por Anza y Peñafiel; mismo que incluía esculturas de dioses y reyes aztecas. Cabe destacar que los lineamientos para la creación de las figuras fueron establecidos por Contreras, desdeñando los planteados por Peñafiel. Además Contreras apoyó al escultor José María Velasco como delegado del gobierno mexicano en uno de los congresos que se llevaron a cabo durante la exposición. The conception of evil in the myth of the fall of Eden La concepción del mal en el mito de la caída del Edén Guzmán de León, Tahi myth Eden awareness woman evil mito Edén conciencia mujer mal This article explains the myth of the fall of Eden, as well as the impact it has had until the 21st century on Western tradition, which is imputed to supernatural forces and demarcates conscience and freedom of choice. It also mentions the conception of evil in the Judaeo-Christian tradition, which evolves from a formal and metaphysical concept to the conception of evil as a concrete being. It also describes the role of women in a patriarchal religion in which they are attributed the condemnation of the human species. El presente artículo explica el mito de la caída del Edén, así como las repercusiones que ha tenido hasta el siglo XXI en la tradición occidental, el cual se imputa a fuerzas sobrenaturales y deslinda a la conciencia y la libertad de elección. Asimismo se menciona la concepción del mal en la tradición judeocristiana, el cual evoluciona de un concepto formal y metafísico a la concepción de éste como un ser concreto. También se describe el papel de la mujer en una religión patriarcal en la que se le atribuye la condena de la especie humana. La ciudad de Aguascalientes previo a la realización de la Soberana Convención Revolucionaria Ramírez Hurtado, Luciano Politics Economy Insecurity Entertainment Crafts Política Economía Inseguridad Entretenimiento Oficios Prior to the Sovereign Revolutionary Convention, the panorama of the state of Aguascalientes was partially uncertain, the modifications and problems in the political, economic and social spheres due to the arrival of different movements such as the First Division of the Center and prisoners of war favored the uncertainty of the population. The restoration of political positions, the information exchanged within the same entity that sought to redo the position of power was also part of the purging of the previous regime. The economy was severely affected by trade relations between the states, the shortage of products and the reduction of currencies in circulation were forced to seek alternative methods to support the economy. Precedente a la Soberana Convención Revolucionaria, el panorama del estado de Aguascalientes era parcialmente incierto, las modificaciones y problemáticas en el ámbito político, económico y social por la llegada de los diferentes movimientos como la Primera División del Centro y los presos de guerra favorecieron la incertidumbre de la población. El restablecimiento de los cargos políticos, la información permutada dentro de la misma entidad que buscaba rehacer la posición del poder también formaba parte de la depuración del régimen anterior. La economía se vio duramente afectada ante las relaciones comerciales entre los estados, la escasez de productos y la reducción de monedas en circulación se vieron obligados a buscar métodos alternativos para apoyar la economía. Ideas about the Sovereign Revolutionary Convention Ideas sobre la Soberana Convención Revolucionaria Reyes Rodríguez, Andrés Villista Constitutionalist Reform Carrancista Villista Constitucionalista Reforma Carrancista We are shown a compilation of approaches according to the Sovereign Revolutionary Convention, conducted in a less technical and more natural way, in which we are detailed the different positions taken by four historians: Arnaldo Cordova, Gaston Garcia Cantu, Luis Gonzalez and Friedrich Katz. Each one with his own perception, offers us a different interpretation about the Mexican Revolution, and of course, the Sovereign Revolutionary Convention, the importance of continuing with a commemoration when the rest of the country forgets it, a foreign vision on the part of Katz, the problematic between Carranza and Villa, the reforms agreed upon in the framework of the convention, in which it can be considered a partial victory for dialogue in the face of violence. Se nos muestra una compilación de planteamientos acorde a la Soberana Convención Revolucionaria, conducidos de forma menos técnica y más natural, en la cual se nos detallan las diferentes posturas tomadas por cuatro historiadores: Arnaldo Córdova, Gastón García Cantú, Luis González y Friedrich Katz. Cada uno con su propia percepción, nos ofrece una interpretación diferente acerca de la Revolución Mexicana, y por supuesto, de la Soberana Convención Revolucionaria, la importancia de seguir con una conmemoración cuando el resto del país lo olvida, una visión extranjera de parte de Katz, la problemática entre Carranza y Villa, las reformas acordadas en el marco de la convención, en la cual se puede considerar una victoria parcial para el diálogo ante la violencia. The Russian Revolution is taken as an example at the beginning to later explain the historiographical situation from its application to the Mexican Revolution. This debate intervenes between revisionist positivism and revolutionism, treating the issue of historical perception. Ante los constantes debates de interpretación, se inspecciona las diferentes formas para interpretar y contar la historia, hasta en algunos casos transmutar su entendimiento a una polémica partidista o ideológica. The present work shows the different problems faced by the authorities and the inhabitants themselves, where the material good was more protected than the security of the population. Two cases are analyzed in which circumstances play a considerable role in sentencing criminals or not. Durante el periodo de 1911 a 1920 se vivió una serie de robos a mano armada, tanto a nivel estatal como nacional, que obligó a las autoridades legislativas a decretar y reformar las leyes con el fin de apoyar a la población en caso de pérdida material. El presente trabajo muestra las diferentes problemáticas a las que se enfrentaron las autoridades y los mismos habitantes, donde se protegía más el bien material que la seguridad de la población. Se analizan dos casos en los cuales las circunstancias juegan un papel considerable para sentenciar o no a los criminales.
